Privacy & Data Protection Policy
Assigned Data Protection Officer: Jonathan Booth
In order for us to make videos for our clients, we collect and use a small amount of contact data and we create a digital asset store for production purposes.
The contact data will typically include business contact information: Contact name, job title, business email address, business telephone number and relevant mobile phone numbers.
The digital asset store will typically consist of scripts, unedited and edited of video and audio data.
At the Product Video Company we understand that all data – whether it is publicly available or not – is important and should be handled with care.
Why do we collect data?
The Product Video Company primarily collects contact data to know who is responsible for a project within the organisation and secondly, so we know who and where to send invoices.
The Product Video Company compile the digital asset store to enable the production process.
Without contact data and digital assets, it would be impossible to work on a project.
How do we collect data?
Contact data is typically collected in one of three ways. 1. We receive your information via email when someone contacts us. 2. If we are telephoned we will ask for contact information during the conversation in order to assist with quotations/proposals/projects. 3. We will collect publicly available information from an organisation’s website or another publicly available source.
Where do we store data?
All information is stored within our password protected and encrypted CRM, Accounts and Production systems on site with a physical off site back up in a secure facility. All data is stored within the United Kingdom.
We only ever share data with a third party for the purposes of completing a project and even then, we never do so without the explicit permission of the data owner.
We never sell data to any third party.
